MOBILE COMPUTING

Android

Mobile computing today means more than being a Road Warrior with a fancy new Notebook and a bag full of gadgets. Today there and a number of cloud computing solutions becoming commonly used across multiple devices.

Evernote is one such App., its a great cross platform way of keeping information in the cloud. Access anywhere and with nearly any computer, OS, phone or mobile device out there.
Dropbox is another such App. too, but mainly for storing your files and photos in the cloud.

FRESHBOOKS
is another way of cutting the tries to your desk, accessing your online invoicing system via a browser anywhere you are. Then if you really need access to your Desktop it can be done remotely from a variety of devices now with LogMeIn for free*.

If you love to listen to AudioBooks and have found the built in music player lacking then Mortplayer is for you. It never losses its place, whether you receive a call or even if your phone resets itself.

The Garmin-Asus A50, built on the Android™ platform, is a full-featured smartphone combined with Garmin's proven navigation. In my option this was a great combination and device works very well even though its dated phone today. Whether you're making a call, sending a message or simply surfing the web, the A50 puts everything you need right at your fingertips. And with access to Android Play™ on your A50, you'll have thousands of apps to choose from.

Garmin-Asus A50

Go Your Own Way

Featuring Garmin's award-winning navigation, the A50 will get you wherever you want to go. With the A50, you can find addresses and get voice-prompted, turn-by-turn directions that speak street names to your destination. The A50 also supports junction view with lane assist — so you'll always know the right lane at the right time. In addition, the A50 comes pre loaded with millions of points of interest so you'll have details — including phone numbers — to assist you while you're on the move.

I would love to see a Gingerbread ROM for the A50 Garmin-Asus but the device wont support any ROM after 2.1 because the ARMv6 chip does not support Gingerbread OS, basically its only 256 ROM, 256 RAM, with 600 MHz CPU.
